BERNARDS TWP., NJ _ Congregation B'nai Israel in Basking Ridge, together with the Islamic Society of Basking Ridge (ISBR) will co-host a vigil for the victims of the terrorist attack on the two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand that took place last week.
The "Vigil for Victims of the New Zealand Tragedy and Stand Against Bigotry" is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at Congregation B'nai Israel at 40 Whitenack Road in Basking Ridge.
All residents and their neighbors are invited. Following the program, conversation will be held and refreshments served starting at about 8:30 p.m.
"Let's come together to show solidarity and promote unity and understanding among all people and do our part to immunize our community against any form of hate and bigotry!" says the open invitation on the ISBR Facebook page.
