SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The South Plainfield High School Football Club is conducting a fundraiser based upon local businesses and services entitled “Tigeropoly”. The clever adaptation of the “classic” game allows businesses to sponsor “Fate” cards, become a major sponsor, a property owner or perhaps sponsor the money used to play the game. Businesses can advertise their business, help out the SPHS Football Club, as well as be part of history. The funds raised will help offset the cost of team expenses, scholarships, and the end of the year banquet.
Cathy Scarpitto, Jackie Dickerson and Alicia Torchia are the team mom’s and are leading the fundraiser efforts for the football club. They told The Alternative Press of South Plainfield “the football team wanted to do a fundraiser that brought the town together in a spirit of pride and togetherness, similar to the effect the team had on the community this past season. South Plainfield rallied around the team and as soon as “Tigeropoly” was introduced their phones have not stopped ringing from businesses, organizations and residents. The town has embraced the concept and appears to be excited to be part of history.”
There is a strict timeline in order to process the advertisements. All spots are on a first come basis. Spaces are not held until the money has been received. If anyone is interested in “becoming a player” and part of the Tigeropoly project, contact Jackie Dickerson, 732-841-2180, Cathy Scarpitto 732-236-2472 or Alicia Torchia 908-294-1702.
