Along with the state of Delaware, the counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Philadelphia, residents of Montgomery County is to watch for hazardous conditions which may result in a tornado.
The watch joins two other cautions already issued by the NWS. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 3 p.m., while a flood watch is in until 10 p.m.
Residents are advised to listen to NOAA Weather Radio or visit weather.gov for continued updates on all three advisories.
“A band of heavy showers and embedded thunder is anticipated to move through later today,” said the NWS advisory. “This could be accompanied by locally strong winds. In addition, downpours can result in some flooding on roadways and in areas of poor drainage, especially with the combination of snowmelt along with blocked storm drains.”
