Towamencin Township supervisors have taken a three-year contract proposal by the Montgomery County Planning Commission under advisement, one that would aid in the betterment of township infrastructure and assets.
According to The Reporter Online, the county planning commossion informed supervisors this week that the commission can be relied upon for help with transportation, land planning and the like.
Under the contract, the county would subsidize 50 percent of the cost; Towamencin would have to shell out anywhere between $10,000 and $150,000 a year, per the report.
Planning commission partnerships have been used by surrounding municipalities, such as Montgomery Township. Lansdale Borough has worked with the commission for various development and redevelopment projects, most recently Cannon Square townhomes.
