WESTFIELD, NJ—Thirteen homes in Westfield have been declared uninhabitable due to Hurricane Sandy, and 53 have sustained serious damage.
In response to the economic impact that the storm has had on residents, the Town of Westfield is partnering with the Westfield United Fund to help the families who have been most severely impacted by Hurricane Sandy with a Westfield Sandy Relief Fund.
This fund will help members of the community with emergency needs not covered by FEMA, Red Cross or private insurance
To donate to the Hurricane Sandy Westfield Relief Fund, make checks payable to the Westfield United Fund, with "Sandy Relief" on the memo line and mail to The Westfield United Fund, 301 North Avenue West, Westfield, NJ 07090. Donations can also be made via their website, westfieldunitedfund.org.
After a week without power, the Westfield United Fund’s office is once again open. For more information, call them at 908-233-2113 or visit www.westfieldunitedfund.org.
