WEST ORANGE, NJ - Earlier this afternoon, a tree felled power lines on Skyline Drive in the Mt. Pleasant section of West Orange, closing Mt. Pleasant Avenue at Pleasant Valley Way and causing power outages for several thousand residents.
According to police, residents have been without power for several hours and power is not expected to be back on until 10 or 11 pm tonight. Police, Fire, and PSEG are on the scene effecting repairs and managing traffic and safety issues.
Residents on Skyline Drive, Merklin Avenue, Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Hooper Ave, Curtis and Roosevelt Avenues are still without power.
