This year’s competition consisted of 25 scout patrols that came from towns throughout central New Jersey
Team Thunderhawk lead by Senior Scouts Matt Musscarella and Kyle Brackman beat out 25 other sleds to win first place with the fastest time of the day. This is the first time Troop 68 has won the Klondike as far as anyone can remember. The following Scouts were members of the winning sled: Kyle Brackman, Matt Muscarella, Mike Higgins, Jason Paprocki, Kyle Engerman, Doug Lodzinski, Ethan Kan, Dylan Wallace and Nick Kwan.
John Young a scout leader of Troop 68 said, "Troop 68 truly followed the scout motto “be prepared” by putting in much time and preparation leading up to this year’s Klondike Derby, and it really paid off for the scouts. It is the first time Troop 68 has won the Klondike Derby and we could not be prouder!
