PARKLAND, FL- Florida daily cases continue to decrease. The percent of positive results ranged from 9.09% to 13.67% over the past 2 weeks and was 9.09% on Sunday, August 2, 2020. This percentage calculated is for people that test positive for the first time and does not include people that had previously tested positive.

Here are the current numbers according to the Florida Department of Health as of Tuesday, August 4, 2020:

Florida has 497,330 confirmed cases of COVID-19, an increase of 5,446 in 1 day.

Broward County has 58,953 confirmed cases, an increase of 422 in 1 day.

Parkland has 334 confirmed cases, an increase of 1 in 1 day. 

Coral Springs has 2,547 confirmed cases, an increase of 19 in 1 day. 

Deaths in Florida related to COVID-19: 7,402 an increase of 166 in 1 day.

Broward County has 3,428 (5.8%) hospitalizations with 765 (1.3%) deaths due to COVID-19. Deaths increased by 20 in 1 day. The median age is 39.

Broward County Hospital Bed Availability: Hospitals have 963 (18.0%) beds available and 48 (9%) adult ICU beds available per the latest data on Friday, July 31, 2020.
