PATERSON, NJ - An overnight shooting left one man dead and another injured in the early hours of Sunday.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald, members of the Paterson Police Department were called to the area of 43 Ellison Street  at approximately 1:30 a.m. in response to a report of a shooting. 

Upon arrival the officers discovered two victims, Richard Henry, 38 and Carlos Munoz, 23, both from Paterson, with apparent gunshot wounds. Henry had succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene while Munoz was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center by Paterson Fire Department EMS where he was admitted in stable condition.
