MILLBURN, NJ - Roy Twiste of Tzell Park Avenue travel agents sponsored his 3rd Luxury Travel Show on Monday, April 11, 2011 at Martini Bistro & Bar, 40 Main Street in Millburn. Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner as well as wine and beverages while have the opportunity meet face-to-face with more than twenty premier travel companies, hoteliers and luxury travel venues including: the new Setai Fifth Avenue, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Ritz Hotel in London, Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Small Luxury Hotels of the World, Leading Hotels of the World and Travel Impressions. Synergy International, Swain Tours, ICS Travel, MJL Select Hotels, Cuisinart Resort & Spa in Anguilla, AM Resorts, Club Med, Amanda Tour, Meander Travel, Classic Custom Vacations, Fairmont Hotels and Resorts and others also participated.
In addition to dinner, wine and beverages, the admission fee included the chance to win prizes provided by some of the world’s finest hotels and resorts. Also a portion of the proceeds were donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation, the Paper Mill Playhouse, and the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce.
Wendy Friese, U.S. Representative for Lighthouse Bay that provides vacations in exotic locales including Turkey, Antigua, and Asia Pacific, told TheAlternativePress.com, “This is a consumer show. People are genuinely interested in the destinations and what you’re talking about. There’s a really good turnout tonight. We have excellent suppliers here, as well.”
Ted Stampoulos, owner of Martini Bistro and Bar and Trustee for the Opportunity Project, Inc., provided his restaurant and bar so that a wonderful event could be held. “Roy Twiste is a very engaging and energetic person. He really outdid himself. The turnout is fantastic and I think it will continue to grow stronger in future years.”
Spotted among the attendees were Richard Futter, owner of Futter’s shoestore in Millburn, and his wife Debbie Bersey; Don Odea and Maria Southward from Investors Savings Bank, also in Millburn; Lloyd Perkel, owner of M. Blaustein, along with his wife; Shayne Miller, President of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and Karol McNulty, Executive Director of the Chamber; as well as several representatives from Saint Barnabas including Lou LaSalle, Jacquie Pagano, Winnie Easterling, Diana Brackin, Margie Heller, and Stephanie Pasiack.
Patty Stern from Jordan Baris Realtors told TheAlternativePress.com, “I think it’s a magnificent testament to the relationships our Chamber members have to be able to bring this caliber of travel show to us. I’m so glad Linda Kelly invited me.”
Kelly, a Board member of the Millburn-Short Hills Chamber, concluded, “I am having a wonderful time at the travel show.” With a smile and after noting she is single, she added, “I met a handsome man from Florence, Italy. We exchanged business cards and I’ll certainly email him.”
