SPARTA, NJ- Only 45 pins separated Sussex Tech and Sparta last week in the Mustang win 3045 to 2998.
The Mustangs had three rollers knock down more than 600 pins.
- Justin Rizzo led with 692 pins
- Matt Danielson had 670 pins,
- Anthony Purtino had 626 pins,
- Colin Walker had 567 pins,
- Connor Rehe had 448 pins.
The Spartans had a 700+ and two 600+ bowlers.
The Sparta bowlers:
- Elias Kermin with 723 pins,
- Aiden Bivona with 628 pins,
- Tommy Irwin with 607 pins,
- Val Huff with 528 pins and
- Nate Miller with 512 pins.
“It was a great match,” Coach Gerald Carter said. “Our team did great but you have to give credit to Sussex Tech who stepped up and edged us out. Great win.”
Sparta has a season record of 8-2, with both losses to Sussex Tech by a 5-2 score. Sussex Tech has an 11-0 record.
The Spartans wrap up their season on Friday going up against High Point.
