Union Catholic Boys Basketball Tops Westfield, 60-44

WESTFIELD, NJ - The Westfield High School boys varsity basketball team fell to Union Catholic, 60-44, on Thursday.

Union Catholic held a lead throughout the game with Westfield close behind. Union Catholic ended the second quarter with a 29-24 lead. The Vikings pulled away in the third quarter, scoring 29 points while the Blue Devils only scored another eight.

David Kane and Sean Elliott led Westfield scoring 12 and 11 points, respectively. For Union Catholic, Isaiah Still and Devine Eke carried the team with 21 and 18 points each.

Westfield, now with a record of 8-7, will play St. Mary’s of Elizabeth Friday in Westfield starting at 7 p.m.
