Union County College will graduate over 900 students in more than 75 academic disciplines during its 76th Annual Commencement ceremonies held on the College's Cranford Campus on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Graduates will be awarded Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, and Associate in Applied Science degrees, certificates, or diplomas for successful completion of programs.
A highlight of the Commencement ceremonies will be the presentation of the coveted Alumni Prize for the graduate who has maintained the highest grade-point average and earned the most credits at UCC, and the Post-Day Awards. The latter honor is presented to the full-time and part-time graduating students who best exemplify the College's ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service. The Post-Day Award was instituted more than 50 years ago in memory of two UCC students who were killed in an automobile accident en route to their graduation.
The College will confer Associate in Arts degrees in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies, Biology, Business, Business/Public Administration, Communications, Communications/Film, Communications/Print Journalism, Communications/Public Relations, Communications/Radio, Communications/Television, Criminal Justice, Liberal Arts, Liberal Arts/Early Childhood/Elementary Education, Liberal Arts/Education, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Drama, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Graphic Design, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Illustration, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Music, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Photography, Liberal Arts/Fine Arts/Visual Arts, Liberal Arts/Honors, Liberal Arts/International Studies, Liberal Arts/Urban Studies, and Physical Science.
The College will confer Associate in Science degrees in Engineering, Engineering/Architecture, Engineering/Computer Science, Engineering/Environmental Science, Liberal Studies, Professional Nursing, Professional Nursing/Respiratory Therapy, and Radiography.
UCC will confer Associate in Applied Science degrees in Business Management, Civil/Construction Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Dental Hygiene, Electromechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Marketing, Paralegal Studies, Physical Therapist Assistant, and Respiratory Therapy.
The College will also confer diplomas in Practical Nursing and certificates in American Sign Language/Deaf Studies, Audio Production, Criminal Justice, Dental Assisting, Interpreting Spoken Language, and Paramedic Didactic Training.
