Sledding was on the agenda for many of Union County's children, who were off from school for a second day. For smaller children, the small slopes in Briant Park in Summit and Lenape Park in Cranford were enough.
Up in the Watchung Reservation, the Loop Playground sat quietly, waiting for Spring and the return of children exploring all its nooks and crannies. Picnic tables covered in snow were not going to be seeing any lunch munchers for the foreseeable future and over on Lake Surprise, well, things were just pristine. In the Deserted Village, the Church/General Store also would not be seeing any visitors anytime soon.
All quiet flowed the Passaic yesterday. And while no canoeists or kayakers were seen on the river, the nearby Passaic River trail already had some visitors, despite the heavy snowfall.
