UNION, NJ – A Union High School sprinter signed her letter of intent on Wednesday to attend the University of Delaware in the fall.

“I’m so excited,” said Shylehn Ebuenga-Smith.  “I never expected to get this far.  But I worked so hard these last four years and now I’m finally going to college.”  Ebuenga-Smith was a sprinter on Union High School's track and field team.

“Today is another proud day for the Union Athletic Department and Union High School, said Director of Athletics Linda Ionta.  “We’re really proud of Shylehn.”

Ebuenga-Smith plans to study exercise science at the University of Delaware.
