On Sunday, May 23rd, United Way of Greater Union County & the Plainfield Community Council will host its 2nd annual Maidens in May Plainfield House Tour which will feature six Plainfield homes of historical and architectural significance. The tour will run from 2 to 5 p.m. and will close with a reception from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Treelawn Estate which is also featured on the tour. The house tour is being held in association with the annual FOSH's (Friends of Sleepy Hollow) garage sale, which includes more than 100 participating households and is scheduled from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Stops on the self guided tour include Carriage, New England, and English Tudor style homes. The tour also includes the historic Drake House, an early farmhouse that grew through expansion into its current Victorian presence. Gardens of selected homes will also be open to visitors.

Tickets for the tour and reception are $20 in advance and $25 on tour day. Proceeds raised will benefit the Tri-County Red Cross and Plainfield Rescue Squad.
