USPS to Close Raritan Postal Service Center

EDISON, NJ - The United State Postal Service recently announced the closing of the Raritan Center Post Office at 400 Raritan Center Pkwy effective Friday, July 11, 2014.

The Postal Service is citing to improve efficiency of service for the Raritan Center closing. The lease on the Raritan Center Station Post Office expires in September and the existing building has a significant amount of unused space.

The Postal Service has operated the Raritan Center Post Office Station  for nearly 10 years at this location.

Delivery and retail operations will relocate to the nearby Nixon Station Post Office at 2079 Woodbridge Ave, Edison.

The 24 postal employees currently working at the Raritan Center will also relocate to the nearby Nixon Station Post Office.  Any other additional reassignments will be handled according to USPS policies, Office of Personnel Management guidelines, and the national agreements with the unions.
