Hatfield Township’s Rocktoberfest Car Show and Family Fun Fest event on Oct. 4 still has room for vendors to showcase their business or organization. Car show enthusiasts are also encouraged to sign up for the event.
The township’s Parks and Recreation Department is looking for small and large businesses, nonprofits, church groups, sports organizations, food and drink vendors, crafters and artisans and the like to be vendors at the 15th annual event.
This year, Rocktoberfest has moved from School Road Park to Clemens Park at 500 Fairgrounds Road. Parks and Recreation Director and Assistant Township Manager Devan Stewart said the event attracts people from all over the region, as well as from the local community.
The Harleysville Savings Bank-sponsored event runs 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., rain or shine. Pennsylvania rock band The 60’s Boys will perform at Rocktoberfest.
Vendor sign-ups are on a first-come, first-served basis.
To be a vendor, contact Stewart at 215-855-0900, ext. 112 or email email@example.com.
Opening ceremonies are by Scott France, with breakfast and lunch fare provided by Boy Scout Troop 51.
Rocktoberfest features a beer and wine garden, hosted by Hatfield American Legion Post 933.
The Hatfield Speedway Reunion will show off vintage race cars and more.
Family activities include scarecrow making, moon bounces, crafts, a DJ and more.
Those interested in the car show should know that vehicle registration is 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with judging taking place between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. An awards ceremony is at 2:45 p.m. Trophies will be given for the Top 25 cars, plus awards for Peoples’ Choice, Commissioners’ Choice, Parks and Recreation Board Choice and Best of Show. The first 150 registrants receive dash plaques.
