Video: Congressman Leonard Lance on the Blue Star Memorial Drive

May 23, 2014 at 8:30 PM

NORTH PLAINFIELD, NJ -- Congressman Leonard Lance spoke today at the rededication of the Blue Star Memorial Drive that runs from North Plainfeld to Mountainside on Route 22.  The memorial for all US veterans was originally dedicated to WWII veterans, and was the first in the nation.

“Let me make as clear as I can that Memorial Day is not a day of celebration, but one of commemoration when we honor our war dead,” said Congressman Leonard Lance.  “Memorial day is a time that we set aside for those who gave their lives so that we could continue to live in freedom.”

Here is video of the Congressman regarding the Blue Star Memorial Drive and Memorial Day.
