MONMOUTH, NJ - Many area communities are acknowledging the solemnity of 9-11 with moments of remembrance. The terrorist attacks of that day will never be forgotten. TAPinto Holmdel, Colts Neck and Middletown share the local times for such reflection.

Colts Neck - 6:30PM Ceremony - Mayor Bartolomeo and the Township Committee - moments of remembrance and prayer for the five Township residents and the many that lost their lives 17 years ago at the 9/11 Memorial at Town Hall.  All are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Middletown - 7:30PM  Ceremony - Mayor Settembrino and the Township Committee - Please bring a candle and join us for a moment of silence and simple wreath tribute to honor the 37 Middletown friends and neighbors we lost 17 years ago in the World Trade Center Attack.

Holmdel - Mayor Tom Critelli and the Township Committee - daytime -  invites all residents to visit the Holmdel Township 9/11 Memorial during the day. A table near the touchstone memorial where flowers and American flags will be placed around the “Upturned Hands” sculpture in an act of remembrance, reflection, and respect for those our community lost.

9/11 Memorial Ceremony

Held at the site of the county’s 9/11 Memorial, the ceremony honors those who lost their lives that day. All are welcome to attend. The event is rain or shine. Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook will remain open until 11 p.m. Sunday-Tuesday, September 9-11, to provide additional opportunities to visit the 9/11 Memorial
