SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J., -- The Union Catholic volleyball team, coming off one of its best seasons in school history, earned a very high final state ranking and were well represented on's All-State teams. 

The Vikings, who concluded the season 26-4, won the Union County title, and were runner-up in the Non-Public A State final under coach Nancy Saggio, finished No. 6 in the state in's final rankings. 

Individually, juniors Olivia Szyszkiewicz, Alexandra Kwasnik, and Najlaa Williams were all honored.

The versatile Szyszkiewicz was chosen Third Team All-State and the First Team All-Non Public team. Szyszkiewicz, the only Union County player named on the overall All-State team, finished the season with 171 digs, 170 kills, 194 service points, and 76 aces. 

Kwasnik was recognized on the Non-Public Second-Team after her a phenomenal season that saw her record 193 kills, 60 blocks, 181 service points, and 56 aces. Williams also was chosen on the Non-Public Second Team after a memorable season. She contributed 229 digs, 159 service points and 37 aces.  

The Vikings should receive several more accolades when releases its All-Conference teams.
