Volunteers Prepare For Community Appeal of Y’s 2014 Annual Campaign

February 26, 2014 at 6:42 PM

Madison Area YMCA campaign volunteers Suji Donnelly and Lisa Baude, both of Madison, get up to speed at the orientation session for the 2014 Annual Campaign’s community appeal that kicks off on Wednesday, February 26. Volunteers will ask members of the community to support the Y’s Annual Campaign, which raises awareness and funds for the Y’s financial assistance program that enables children and families, who work or reside within the Madison Area YMCA’s service area, to participate in Y membership, programs and services including child care, early childhood education and summer camps, regardless of their abilities to pay. Support is provided based upon demonstrated need. All donations remain local. The Annual Campaign also helps the Y broaden its reach into initiating enriching community wellness and health-enhancing programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA, for cancer survivors, and Walk with Ease, an arthritis program, debuting soon.
