NEW YORK, NY — The 10th grade class at The Wardlaw+Hartridge School in Edison had the opportunity to visit The Cloisters in New York City on Oct. 4.
The Cloisters, located in Tryon Park, specializes in European medieval art and architecture. The students were able to explore the museum and view amazing pieces of art and architecture such as The Hunt of the Unicorn tapestries, Cuxa Cloister, and The Gothic Hall.
As an assignment for their Modern World History class, students took selfies with the art and architecture of medieval Europe. They were required to take at least five selfies of five different works of art/architecture while exploring the museum. Students needed to tag the images on Instagram with the hashtags #whschool and #thecloisters to receive full credit.
