WARREN, NJ - Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church is hosting a dinner and basket raffle on Saturday, March 15, to benefit an upcoming mission trip to Appalachia.
The event, at Mt. Horeb UMC, 42 Liberty Corner Road, Warren, will have two seatings at 5 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for children 10-years-old and under. For reservations, please visit www.mthorebumcwarren.org or call (732)356-1217.
In addition to a buffet of roast turkey, country ham, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, homemade cornbread, salad, peach cake and beverages, volunteers will raffle baskets filled with donations from local vendors.
All proceeds from this event will help send supplies and volunteers from Warren and Bridgewater to join the Appalachia Service Project in Tennessee this summer. ASP volunteers will work hands-on with families to make their homes safer, drier and warmer. This is the second such trip for volunteers from Mt. Horeb UMC. Last year, the team spent a week repairing homes in a remote mountain area of West Virginia.
