WARREN, NJ - The Warren community continues to rally support for JT Torrisi, a Woodland School third grader who is currently hospitalized with a serious medical condition since falling into a coma in mid February.
Wednesday night, March 13, the 5th Annual Woodland Staff and Parent basketball game is set and the Woodland Service Club will be holding a bake sale, raffle, and other fun events with proceeds going to supporting JT. “Bake Sale items $1, Just Try Your Luck for JT. Bring cash and take home an evening of memories.”
Amanda McGrath, the Library Media Specialist at Woodland School, has organized and recorded more than 20 messages from the Woodland community sending special well wishes and reading a story for JT and his mother to view.
JT woke from the coma a week ago and a GoFundMe fundraising site has been established to “help offset any bills she (his single mom) may accrue during JT’s immediate recovery and anticipated therapy, and pray that JT heals and regains his strength during this critical time in their family’s life.”
