Warren Family Injured in Garden State Parkway Crash
WARREN, NJ - According to the New Jersey State Police, Amedeo Bove, 41, and Raffella Bove, 43, both of Warren, and two children, an 8-year-old female and a 10-year-old male, were injured in an accident that happened at 2:46 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and shut down the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway for hours.
All four were taken to area hospitals.
Two women died in the crash when the Saturn they were driving veered into another lane and was struck by a pick-up truck driven by Amedeo Bove near exit 63 in the southbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway.
Naoma Johnson, 45, the driver of the Saturn, and Frances Hall, 70, both of Turnersville were pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was traveling southbound in the right lane when she lost control of her car and crossed over into the path of the pickup truck. The pickup truck struck the Saturn on the side and both vehicles veered off the roadway, according to New Jersey State Police.
Two 14-year-old juveniles, a male and a female, were flown to Atlantic City Medical Center.
The accident is under investigation.
