Warren Township Closures and Cancellations in Aftermath of Winter Storm Hercules

WARREN, NJ - Winter Storm Hercules did not pack as much of a punch as anticipated. However,schools were closed and all activities scheduled at the Warren Township schools for Friday and Saturday are canceled, including WYBA basketball.

New Jersey State Police warn that wet roads are re-freezing and temperatures are dangerous for overnight hours. Stay inside if possible. Call 211 for warming center locations.

Watchung Hills Girls Basketball was to play Roselle Catholic in one of the first showcases of 2014 on Thursday night,  but due to the storm, the game has been postponed to a day and time still to be determined.
Roselle Catholic was to host the Hoops For Troops showcase on Jan. 2 and 3, which will raise money for Feherty's Troops First Foundation. The organization works to assist military members who have been wounded in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Watchung Hills Boys Basketball is still scheduled to play Ferris at home on Saturday, Jan. 4 at 1 p.m.

Warrenville Road and Washington Ave. have been reopened.
Somerset County recycling will continue to be picked up  in Warren on Friday and finishing on Saturday, Jan 4.
