While the plows were out all night, some roads around the township remain closed. Hillcrest Road is now open.

The following statement was issued by the Warren Township Office of Emergency Management:

"Good morning. It is bitter cold outside with harsh wind chill factors, and as a result roads will be slippery, and affected by drifting snow. Warrenville Road and Washington Ave. going down the hill to Route 22 remain closed. Morning Glory Rd. is open, but has black ice.

Please avoid traveling on the roads, but if you must go to work, the best way to Route 22 is Mountain Blvd. to the Watchung circle. Warren Township Department of Public Works continues to clear the roads. The main arteries are first cleared, but if your road has not been plowed, please have patience.

If you have a fire hydrant near your residence or business, the Fire Departments ask that you clear the area around the hydrant in case of an emergency. Please also clear the area around your mailbox to help out the mail delivery workers.
In the event you experience a power outage, be sure to contact your service provider (PSE&G: 1-800-436-7734; Jersey Central Power & Light: 1-888-544-4877). Do NOT contact the police department unless an emergency exists with your power loss.
Stay safe and warm."
