“It felt awesome. We came out and played all 48 minutes. I couldn’t be more proud of the seniors,” said the senior about the team’s win.
“I had a beat on the ball [during face-offs],” Melillo added on his dominant performance.
Frank Rica and Sean Mullaney each added two goals, while Tyler Furlong scored one. Frank Butrico added an assist.
Alec Orazietti had another great performance, scoring four goals and adding five assists to the team’s win.
“[It was] all ball movement,” Orazietti said on the offense’s dominant performance. “We were constantly cutting off ball which made it easier to feed [teammates].”
Also scoring for the offense was John Tekin, who added a goal and an assist. Ryan Cunningham scored his 25, 26, and 27 goal of the year. He also added an assist.
Nick Malinousky got his second win of the year, holding Montgomery to three goals. He had seven saves in the win.
“It was nice to go out and have a solid win after our last couple games. The defense did a great job considering two [of Montgomery’s] goals were man down,” said the senior goalie on the win.
Also commenting on the team was senior and captian Matt Rozmerski, who said, "Offensively, key contributions from the underclassmen and defensively, working together as a unit in all aspects fo the game. Overall it was a great win and a huge confidence booster."
The 6-5 Warriors will play Oratory on Monday, April 28.
