WARREN, NJ -Coming off an upset against sixth ranked Immaculata, Watchung Hills fell in double overtime to Pingry, 8-7.
Defenseman Matt Rozmerski scored his first goal of the his varsity career to give the Warriors a 1-0 lead. John Tekin scored the second goal for the Warriors, entering the half tied 2-2.
Sean Mullaney added a goal and a pair of assists for the Warriors, as Tyler Furlong and Orazietti both scored as well.
Tekin finished with two goals and an assist while Ryan Cunningham scored his 15th goal of the year.
The Warriors led all game until Pingry scored in overtime to win.
“After a game like this we can only come together and resolve the problems," captain Zack Melilo said. "There is no room for pointing fingers at anyone; this is a team sport. We are a family and we stick together."
Jack Ayre posted 13 saves in the loss, as the Warriors move to 0-2 on the road.
The team has fallen to 3-3 on the year.Watchung Hills will play away against Basking Ridge on Saturday, April 12.
