We Have Our Eyes On Suburban Optik In Berkeley Heights

March 25, 2014 at 12:08 PM

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The most important aspect of choosing eyeglass frames for many is how they look on our face.

"Eyeglasses are one of the first things that people notice about a person. So, it's very important to choose eyewear carefully," said Mike Paone, optician and owner of Suburban Optik.

"Choosing eyewear at Suburban Optik, you won't just find a pair of glasses, we want you to feel good with your new glasses in the long term, so we provide the comprehensive services you would expect from a competent and responsible optician," said Paone.

The business has been owned and operated by the Paone family, serving the eye care needs of the local community since 1954.  Suburban Optik has been a staple for eyewear on Springfield Avenue in Berkeley Heights for more than 30 years.

Customers of all ages and gender come to Suburban Optik for their largest collection and variety of frames, sunglasses and prescription lenses in the area. "We stock an extensive selection of eye wear and can order other designer and major company frames by special request," said Paone.

"Today, eyeglasses are much more fashionable. Every pair comes with a designer name attached.  The fancier they are -- the better."

Suburban Optik has frames and sunglasses, and customers can also find a wide variety of contacts including disposables, rigid gas permeables, toric, frequent replacement, daily disposables, and Orthokeratology specialty lenses.

Paone recognizes each customer has individual requirements in terms of vision correction. "Our competent and responsible opticians know what they are doing. They're on top of everything new. Customers can count on our team explaining these products so that they know exactly the terms of their vision corrections," said Paone.

Suburban Optik opticians personally grind the lenses in their workshop. They offer free follow-up, lens cleaning and fast handling of minor repairs and adjustments that are performed on site.  "That way you are guaranteed long-lasting satisfaction with your finished glasses," said Paone.

Suburban Optik is currently running  a limited 50% OFF SALE with the purchase of prescription lenses (excluding Maui Jim products).

To the Editor:

The past few years have brought on a numerous number of debates, the Redevelopment Act, new town hall, change in our downtown area, the Supreme Court ruling on COAH to name a few. Many of you know I do not agree with some of the above BUT I am only one person. I have learned to sit and study the different situations to understand them by researching.
The other thing that we ...

Which is Best: Lump Sum or Pension Annuity?

Is a lump sum offer from an employer a better choice than a pension annuity for life? The former provides an immediate up-front amount (say $300,000), but the pension annuity gives you a stream of payments for life (example: $1,350 per month). A number of employers dangle a lump sum offer to employees in part to remove future liabilities from their balance sheets. It’s tempting for ...
