Weather Leads to High Traffic Accident, Disabled Vehicle Tally

SUMMIT, NJ - The snowy conditions and resulting treacherous road conditions made for an extra busy day for the Summit Police Department, who responded to 10 motor vehicle accidents and 15 disabled motor vehicle calls today, all in less than a two-hour period.

Summit Police Lieutenant Michael Cantone noted, "Having all of the local schools closed was a big help.  It kept all of those kids home safe and lessened the traffic issues we dealt with."
