BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - The weather vane that sits on top of the municipal complex at 29 Park Avenue was damaged and in need of repair. "We made a strong effort to get the weather vane up for Memorial Day," said Jorge Casacubert, Assistant Director of Public Works.
"We had the staff here to make it happen," said Casacubert, with the Berkeley Heights Fire Department ready to aid in placing the weather vane back on top of the building. Unfortunately, the threading was stripped and additional repairs are necessary.
The DPW is optimistic that the weather vane will be repaired in the near future.
