TRENTON, NJ - Governor Phil Murphy announced the latest COVID-19 figures from around the state at his Wednesday afternoon press briefing, where he called out an "egregious display of knucklehead behavior in Seaside Heights" by a trio of YouTubers, that lead to several arrests.

In New Jersey, there were 447 new cases reported, with nine new deaths. Statewide, there are 197,792 positive cases and 14,263 deaths, and 1,791 probable COVID-19 fatalities, a number which rose slightly.  

According to Murphy, Bergen County has 22,030 positive cases, and followed by Essex (20,723), Hudson (20,422), Middlesex (18,931), Passaic (18,719) with 320 under investigation.  Fatalities in Bergen County stand at 1,800.

As of 10 p.m. Tuesday, there were 462 people hospitalized, 226 who tested positive and 236 under investigation. There were 100 patients in ICU and 38 on ventilators.
