Wells Fargo awarded a $10,000 grant to support the creation of a new Center for Literacy and Volunteerism at CPNJ’s Horizon School in Livingston.  Horizon School serves students with multiple disabilities and the new Center will offer them a modernized library that incorporates fantasy and a range of technology tailored to students’ unique needs.

The new Center will also create opportunities for volunteering on many levels.  “Our vision is for this room to be truly run by volunteers – we want to assemble a dedicated cadre of volunteers who will open and close, coordinate activities with teachers and therapists, decorate and re-decorate based on themes throughout the year, and work to continually develop the Center.”

If you are interested in volunteering to support the new Center, please contact Corry DeMarco at (973) 763-9900, ext. 1626 or at cdemarco@cpnj.org.
