West Orange Board of Education to Swear in New Members and Elect President on Jan. 2

WEST ORANGE, NJ - The Board of Education meeting, scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 2 at 8 p.m., will say goodbye to a longtime member and hello to a new one. In addition, the board president and vice-president will be nominated and elected for 2014. The meeting will be held at West Orange High School, 51 Conforti Ave., in the Library Media Center.

Megan Brill, who has been on the board for six years and has completed her second term, will leave the board. She will be recognized for her efforts at the meeting.

Sandra Mordecai, who was re-elected to a second term, will be sworn in, along with newcomer  Mark Robertson, who was also elected in November.

The annual reorganization meeting will appoint board liaisons to various committees; establish meeting dates for the year; and appoint administrative personnel for various district functions.
