WEST ORANGE, NJ – The West Orange Scholarship Fund is hosting the second annual “Bowling for Scholarship Dollars” on Saturday, Jan. 24, to benefit the Principal’s Scholarship for graduating West Orange High School seniors. The event will be held at Eagle Rock Bowling Lanes, 424 Eagle Rock Ave. from 8:30 p.m to 11 p.m. See attached flyer in gallery for details and downloadable form to be filled out and sent in.
“We want everyone to have fun while giving,” said Principal Hayden Moore. “It’s a great night out for a great cause.”
The Principal’s Scholarship benefits a broad range of students who are planning to attend a four-year or two-year college or trade school. Recipients are selected by the West Orange Education Fund Committee.
“We want to help provide a good start for our students and give them some financial opportunities,” Moore continued.
Last year’s event raised over $2,500 in scholarship monies. Moore said he hopes to see even more raised this year.
“Everyone needs a night out,” Moore said with a smile, “and we want to make it fun.”
Attendees must be 21 or over. Food and beverages are available for sale, and there will be door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. Last year’s event drew over 120 supporters, so tickets to bowl are limited. Bowling tickets are $25 each and can be purchased by contacting Ann Cupo at 973-715-0582 or via email to email@example.com.
NOTE: It is not necessary to bowl to attend the event, and donations of any amount will be accepted.
