West Orange H.S. Winter Color Guard Ranked No. 1 Nation in Scholastic Open Class Competition

WEST ORANGE, NJ - After placing second in the nation at the WGI Eastern Regional in South Brunswick on March 1, West Orange High School Winter Color Guard placed second in national rankings in their Scholastic Open Class category. At the March 22-23 Eastern Color Guard Championship in West Long Branch, the Mountaineers won their category and are now ranked first in the nation as they head to Dayton, Ohio the first week of April to participate in the World Championships.

The WOHS Winter Color Guard took first with a score of 88.30, giving them a seeding score in the seventh week of competition of 89.30. Spring High School in Texas is second with scores of 87.70/88.70, and Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla. is third with scores of 86.85/87.85.
