West Orange Hair Affair Celebrates 40 Years In Business

WEST ORANGE, NJ - Hair Affair, located at 531 Northfield Ave., was recoginzed at the July 22 Township Council Meeting for 40 years of service to the West Orange community.

Longtime patron, Councilman Joe Krakoviak, read a citation on behalf of the establishment, who first opened their doors on Aug. 1, 1974.

On hand were owner Julie Carollo and her daughter Samantha along with stylists Judy Moore and Eileen Varanelli.

Carollo thanked the community and shared about the decidedly homespun shop, where her mom still makes cookies for its loyal customers.

"One thing is for certain," said Krakoviak, "and that is you are going to be well taken care of by Julie and the staff," as he recounted a recent trip to the shop.
