WEST ORANGE, NJ - Another milestone in the lives of soon-to-be graduates at West Orange High School took place on Saturday at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany as hundreds of 12th-graders gathered for their Senior Prom.

(Editor's note):

It's hard to be objective when, as an editor, you have known many of these young men and women since they were kindergartners. We've watched them over the years as they have developed into scholars, athletes, musicians, and community activists.

This summer, many of them will head off to college away from home, enter the military, and embark upon new adventures and challenges. We parents, along with coaches, teachers, and administrators, grow misty-eyed as a new chapter begins, and all of West Orange should be proud of who these young people have become. They are sure to impact our world in a positive way.

The response to our request for photos was incredible, and since a a picture is worth a thousand words, take a look at where some of your tax dollars have gone as you view some prom pics from the West Orange High School Class of 2014.
