West Orange Marching Band and Color Guard Take First Place in Roxbury Competition

WEST ORANGE, NJ -  The West Orange High School Marching Band and Color Guard took home first-place awards in their group Sept. 28 at the Roxbury High School competition.

In addition, the Mountaineers won the awards for best overall color guard, percussion and effect.  West Orange High School also took home the award for the Best Band in the entire competition.

The Mountaineer Marching Band will be hosting a competition at West Orange High School on Oct. 12.  For more information, go to http://www.wohsmusic.org/.

The team travels to two competitions this weekend: on Saturday, Oct. 5, they compete in the Yamaha Cup at Met Life Stadium; and on Sunday, Oct. 5, they travel to Verona High School.
