WEST ORANGE, NJ — West Orange Mayor Robert Parisi was recently a guest on the cable TV show “The Giblin Report,” a half-hour program hosted by New Jersey Assemblyman 34th District Thomas P. Giblin.
In a segment filmed on Oct. 11 at Montclair State University’s School of Communication and Media, Parisi became part of an elite group of guests that has previously included Governors Brendan Byrne and James McGreevy, Governor-Elect Phil Murphy, Lt. Governor-Elect Sheila Oliver and more.
Giblin questioned Parisi on a wide range of questions from how he feels to be the mayor of the community he grew up in to details about the township’s recent purchase of the Rock Spring Golf Club.
In addition to addressing some local issues, such as taxes and the relocation of the library, Parisi also explained the importance of municipal government serving the needs of all residents in a municipality that spans the spectrum of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
According to Joseph Fagan, Public Information Officer for West Orange Township, the show does not air on the cable TV system in West Orange, but it will be posted to the township website at www.westorange.org later this month.
The segment can also be seen on the web at www.montclairjusa.org or on cable systems throughout Giblin’s New Jersey districts, which include East Orange, Montclair, Glen Ridge, Oakland and Clifton.
