WEST ORANGE, NJ - Brad Palent, President of the West Orange Mountain Top League, is a happy man. The Spring Hockey program for township youth 5 and older, is off to a great start with WOHS Hockey Coach Eddie Scafidi and MTL volunteers at the helm.

The kids practice at Floyd Hall Arena in Montclair and are part of the Spring In-House Hockey League. MTL will be entering teams in the Floyd hall Arena Spring league for the following ages: Squirts (born 2003 & 2004), Mites (born 2005-2007) and Bantam (1999-2000).

"We couldn't be happier about how the league is going," said Palent.  "The turnout has been great".

It is hoped that the new ice hockey feeder program is the start of ongoing efforts to provide years of training and play for future high school stars.
