WEST ORANGE, NJ - West Orange Township has entered a contest for a $1,000 Sustainable Jersey Grant and is asking for residents' help to win it. The community can help West Orange win the grant by participating in a Twitter contest. Community members can also visit the Township website at www.westorange.org/walmartgrant to vote or vote on Twitter. The contest is open from now through Aug. 4 and is sponsored by Walmart.

Award money will be used for the West Orange Energy Commission’s ‘Green Team,’ a group of residents and students who provide the leadership to develop and implement plans and assist with educational opportunities that support the creation of a sustainable community.  According to Jessica Glicker, public information officer:
