Tax Department Director Joanne Gagliardo was the host for the initial chat. She was happy to answer questions and said, "Residents are the cornerstone of this community and it’s very important to us that we interact with them as often as possible. Facebook provides an excellent avenue to immediately and easily share and exchange information.”

Theresa DeNova, Health Department Officer, is scheduled to host the next Talk to the Town Facebook chat on Wednesday, February 19. Lenny Lepore, Depatment of Public Works and Engineering Director, will host on March 12. Both discussions will be held from 1-2 p.m.

Talk to the Town will run on a monthly basis and feature various township department directors. The format is simple. Residents can post questions on the township's Facebook page prior to the chat, or log on to Facebook and participate in real time. The sessions will include live questions, answers, feedback and suggestions designed to provide an additional way to communicate and interact with the community.

Last November, Mayor Robert Parisi held an online chat with residents that was well received and lasted two hours. This success was the impetus for Talk to the Town.
