Kids in the Westfield Area Y’s Kindergarten Wraparound program at the Main Y, 220 Clark Street, are thrilled that their caterpillars and ants have arrived! However, their Kindergarten Wraparound teachers, Quinton Redding and Celeste Ponzio are happy the new classmates are enclosed in their new homes! The ants are living in a nutritious gel-based habitat inspired by a NASA experiment to study animal life in space. The caterpillars will soon become painted lady butterflies.
