WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield attorney Fred Shahrooz Scampato is featured this month as a ‘Super Lawyer’ in New Jersey Monthly magazine for his work in employment litigation.
Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.
“Considering that the Super Lawyers selection process is based on peer review, I am very happy and honored to be selected to the 2014 New Jersey Super Lawyers Employment Litigator, Plaintiff list,” said Shahrooz Scampato. “I will continue to strive to be the best advocate for my clients, to maximize successful resolution and minimize the stress and aggravation that often accompanies the litigation process.”
Shahrooz Scampato has over two decades of litigation experience in employment law in New Jersey state and federal courts. He sits on the National Employment Lawyers Association Board (NJ Chapter) and Calais School Board (children with special needs school), lectures on employment law issues at CLE seminars and teaches business law for the MBA program at Fairleigh Dickinson University. His practice focuses on plaintiff’s employment discrimination, sexual harassment and whistleblower actions. He also provides advice to small and medium-sized businesses on employment matters to verdict and successfully settled over a thousand cases.
“As an employment law and civil rights attorney, I advocate for the victims of the ‘twilight’ and the ‘darkness,”’ said Shahrooz Scampato. “I play an active role in the eradication of prejudice and bigotry that still exists in the workplace and in our society. In doing so, I strive to fulfill a promise made to my father years ago that in my legal career I would endeavor to bring forth the ‘light’ of equality, liberty and justice.”
