The score going into fourth quarter was 22-8 after another touchdown by the Blue Devils with a minute and 15 seconds left on the clock. Westfield's Jack Simcox scored a touchdown during fourth quarter.

Westfield Head Coach James DeSarno said the team’s goals after the win remain unchanged.

“We just want to improve on last year and make playoffs ... get better each week. We were coming out of 2-8 last year, so really we don't have any lofty goals besides making playoffs,” said DeSarno.

The Westfield Blue Devils will play in their next game on Sept. 27 at Phillipsburg.
