WESTFIELD, NJ — (Updated at 10:45 a.m. Friday) Westfield police are seeking the public’s help locating two, possibly three, shoplifting suspects, the department wrote on its Facebook page.

On Friday, June 26, around 1:45 p.m., the women entered Midtown Authentic, a shop at 130 E. Broad St., police said. During the course of their visit, the women, possibly working together to distract the employee, shoplifted a purse valued at $3,000, police said.

Police describe one of the women as wearing a long orange dress and a mask.

Another suspect is a female in a white and black vertical-striped long sleeve shirt, light blue long skirt, a light blue head covering and a mask, police said.

The third woman, who police said is a possible suspect, is described as wearing a black tank top, white and blue leggings and a mask.

An email to police seeking more information Friday was not immediately returned.
