Westfield Ranked 11th Best City for Renters Raising Families by

WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield is one of eight New Jersey cities to make’s new list of Top 25 Cities for Renters Raising Families.

The list ranks cities with a high concentration of family households (greater than 70 percent), population greater than 10,000 and a median household income of $50,000 or more. Family-friendly criteria considered in the ranking included affordable rental rates (based on data), low crime rates and high school scores. Only cities with more than 1,000 rental dwellings available made the list.

“Westfield is known for being a great place to not only grow up, but also a great place to raise your own children,” according to “This city has an extensive youth and adult recreation program, nine municipal parks and fields and Memorial Park, a popular summer gathering place for residents. The downtown area is a vibrant mix of chain store staples like Starbucks, Gap and Williams-Sonoma, with an added mix of mom-and-pop restaurants. For the music lovers, summer jazz performances downtown are a must-attend.”
